Review of proposed trail work dates for 2006

Dan Streeter submitted a list of proposed trail
maintenance events for discussion. The preliminary dates proposed were:
April 23 - Harold Parker
May 20 - IMBA Trail Building school at Harold
Parker
June 3 - Bradley Palmer or Willowdale
June 17 - Bald Hill
September 17 - TBD
October 14 - TBD
Dan has proposed the state park proposals for
maintenance and IMBA school to the DCR. He is also planning to make a
proposal for trail work at Ward Hill in North Andover, a Trustees of
Reservations property.
Other properties
-----------------------
At the next meeting, Bob Hicks will present a
proposal for the Chapter making a donation to the Trustees of Reservations
or Essex County Greenbelt. These are private property managers who have
supported mountain bike use on their properties, where other organizations
have restricted it.
IMBA Trail School
--------------------------
Every year hosts a trail building school with
NEMBA. This year's is being proposed to include one day at Harold Parker
State Forest and one day at another park. This is a great opportunity to
learn from the professionals. The Chapter, as "host" at HP, will need to
provide support (TBD) for the event.
Wicked Ride
------------------
Wicked Ride is tentatively scheduled for October
29th. This is an MBAS event. Harpoon will no longer be sponsoring the MBAS
series, so Philip Keyes is looking for a new main sponsor.
Sandy Bray has been managing this event for the
past few years. She indicated she will need additional support for it this
year. About 200 people attended last year's, the most we've ever had.

Treasurer's Report

Ron reports about $5,000 in the Chapter's
account.
Next meetings
---------------------
Bill will come up with a set of Chapter meeting
dates and publish in next SingleTracks. These dates will probably be in
March, June, August and post-Wicked Ride.
The Chapter will try to send out postcards with
the meeting dates, to ensure we make contact with those who don't have
internet access or didn't provide email addresses.
