Harold Parker State Forest |
|
Location: |
Primarily located in the Massachusetts'
towns of Andover and North Andover with small portions
extending into the bordering towns of North Reading and
Middleton. |
|
Description: |
Harold Parker offers many miles of
trails for mountain bikers of all abilities. The
forest contains about twenty miles of moderately
technical single track that should appeal to a
cross-country rider. There are also many miles of
fire roads that offer less demanding, more
leisurely riding. Finding and linking together the
single track can be a bit confusing. Joining a
group ride is probably the best way to become familiar
with the forest. Our chapter hosts a regular
Thursday evening ride in Harold Parker. Group
rides are also frequently posted on the
NEMBA and
Rage forums. More information...

Parking: |
There are many, mostly
small, parking areas within Harold Parker. A
popular starting spot for mountain bikers is the
Jenkin's Lot at the end of Harold Parker Rd where it
intersects with Jenkins Rd. |
