Wicked Ride of the East
October 26, 2008
The previous night's rain
didn't keep mountain bikers away from the this
year's Wicked Ride. Nearly 300
participants showed up for great riding and
Lee's chili. More photos at the

Novice Ride Series
The Monday Night Novice Ride
Series has ended for the season. This ride
was well received with over 35 different riders
attending throughout the summer. The group had a
lot of fun learning the trails of Willowdale and
Bradley Palmer while improving their biking
skills. The series is expected to run
again in 2009, most likely starting in early

Welcome to the North Shore Chapter of NEMBA
Willowdale Meadow Ride
Sunday, November 16th
1 p.m. - 3 p.m.
Join us as we explore this new
section of
ECGA conserved land located within the
beautiful Willowdale State Forest, always a
popular mountain biking destination. This ride
will be appropriate for beginner and
intermediate bikers. Helmets are required;
please bring water and a snack. Directions: From
Route 1, take the exit for Ipswich Road in
Topsfield, heading East. Drive 1.75 miles (if
you reach Gravelly Brook Road you have gone too
far). Park on the left.

The NS chapter completed our
final 2008 Trek / NEMBA Trail Care Series event
at Ward Reservation in Andover, MA.
Volunteers installed two boardwalks and rock
hardened some tread along the Bay Circuit Trail
leading up to the Holt Hill access road.
Tompson St. Res. Trail Reroute

We had beautiful weather for
our 2nd Tompson St event of the year. Once
again, this event was held in cooperation with
ECGA, Dieselbikes and Sinister Bikes. Click

Jenkin's Rd - Glacial Erratic

We had a great turnout for
our largest trail care event of the year.
The trail going from Jenkin's Rd. to the
Glacial Erratic was rerouted in order to
avoid the
large pit just off of Jenkin's Rd.
